Hand Washing Process :

Hand washing of your fine textile! This is a very exciting process for us. We get to see your silk or wool become fresh looking again and let me tell you that this is very rewarding to see as a rug technician and rug lover. We really give your rug the spa treatment here by following the technique that a master cleaner taught us. They say is "first thing in is the last thing out". That is why we first saturate the rug with fresh water then let it sit.

The pores of the cotton/silk/wool/ warp and weft foundation absorbs the water and of course the pile. We then start hand washing the rug based on the fiber type. Once we are pleased that all the stains come out, we start applying fresh water again and start to squeegee the rug. We have a saying here "we know the rug is done when the water is clear". If we do not see fresh water come out of the rug during this process, we re- wash it. This is especially important for a rug that is getting a decontamination treatment . If we see any hint of yellow we keep flushing the rug until we see only clear water. Next step drying the rug .
